Titans found on Australia
Now this is cool:
Found! Australia's largest dinosaurs
"Fossil bones from the largest dinosaurs ever known to walk Australia shed new light on the country's prehistoric past, scientists say.
The remains of two titanosaurs, nicknamed Cooper and George, were uncovered by farmers near the outback town of Eromanga in southwest Queensland in 2005 and 2006.
But their discovery, about 1000 kilometres west of Brisbane, was kept secret to allow palaeontologists to study them.
Fossilised leg bones show the pair were 6-7 metres longer than the biggest sauropod dinosaur previously found in Australia, says Scott Hocknull, a curator of geosciences at the Queensland Museum.
The finding is likely to change our understanding of how big dinosaurs grew in Australia, and their range across the country."
